Why “Earth Dance”?

Why did I create this calendar?

As I began connecting more intentionally with seasonal patterns and lunar cycles many years ago, I wanted a calendar to aid these studies. A calendar that emphasized those rhythms instead of the Gregorian Calendar that I find to be a bit disconnected from this earth-centered view of time.

Why did I name it "Earth Dance"?

Once the calendar started to take form, I began to see and experience time differently – not as a linear march from one month to the next, but as a cosmic choreography as Earth, Moon, Sun and Stars moved together in a rhythmic flow that is both predictable and complex. It felt like stepping into a dance – one of elegance, intricacy and aliveness.
